Phoenix Insurance Company is a private limited liability insurance company incorporated in Ghana in 1995 under the Company’s Code of 1963 (Act 179). Phoenix Insurance is part of the Phoenix Financial Holdings Group, a wholly-owned Ghanaian company that is established through an investment vehicle of Ghanaians called CD Investments Limited.
CD Investments is incorporated in Ghana, and currently owns the following companies among others:
• Phoenix Life Assurance Company Limited
• Phoenix Insurance Company Limited
• Champion Divine Clinic and Medical Research Centre
• Champion Hotel, etc.
CD Investments Limited originally owned Benefits Insurance, and acquired majority stake in Phoenix Insurance Company Limited in March 2007.
